Wales is not a bloody principality and hasn't been since 1536,

Many welsh people seem to have this obsession with putting wales down at every opportunity.

Why they do this i dont know but one term such people cling on to is "wales is a PRINCIPALITY" it often comes with "its not a real country anyway" .

Now where is the proof of this? can they direct me to the pages on the welsh government website or uk government website or any other to prove to me that wales "isn't a country but only a principality" ?

Here is what the Welsh government say. here link

Wales is not a Principality. Although we are joined with England by land, and we are part of Great Britain, Wales is a country in its own right.
We have a long history that goes from the old welsh kingdoms and the middle ages. We have had a 'Prince of Wales' from 1301, when Edward I created the title. The title is given to the eldest son of each English monarch.
The Prince of Wales is Prince Charles, who is the present heir to the throne. But he does not have a role in the governance of Wales, even though his title might suggest that he does.
On 18 September 1997, we voted in favour of devolution in Wales. Before that, we were run entirely by the UK government in London. We were then given the powers we need to make secondary laws that affect us by an act called the Government of Wales Act 1998.
In 2006, we expanded on this act and have gained more powers for our country with the Government of Wales Act 2006. Our Government's document 'One Wales' refers to us as a country or nation in its own right.

Prince Charles has no power in wales. His role is nothing but ceremonial. Wales doesnt belong to him in anyway.

Wales has its own international sporting teams.

Its own parliament and its own laws.

It has its own unique culture language and rich history.

So if you think wales is a principality after all this...Show me what you have???

Some Random economic facts about wales

Unionists and the media will tell you all the time that wales needs london and Wales couldn't afford independence. They base this on gdp and fva figures along with the tax raised in Wales compared to money spent on wales. All the figures are pointless and not a true reflection of the welsh economy. Independent Wales would receive the benefits from many of its resources currently being exploited by England for where Wales receives little benefit. Also the taxes raised by welsh company's go direct to London and are ignored when they say wales receives more than it raises in taxes. Most people wont know these facts. Iv found a lot out by just searching the web, freedom of information requests and simple phone calls. The truth is available folks.Don't expect the truth off the media or union politicians. If your opinions are based on the media, unionist politicians, gdp,gva or tax figures that come out of London then I'm afraid your opinion is wrong and clouded. Wale...

Over 80% of anti welsh language comments are from English people 36% live in Wales.

Most of us would have come across anti welsh language folk in our time, especially online where people often make a comment and run away before they are proven wrong. This week there has been an unusually high volume of anti welsh posts due to what has been reported in the news and some papers.   I clicked on a few of these profiles and found nearly all wasn't even welsh. This gave me an idea… I had some spare time on my hands so I decided to do some of my own unscientific research. I used my own programming skills to make a few scripts to scan twitter and a few other websites and visited a number of Facebook pages looking for debates on the welsh language. I then visited the profiles of all of these people. If their location wasn’t clear I  done a bit of scanning to determine the locations. For other people who I couldn’t determine the locations for I had to bend some rules to get their ip addresses and some times home addresses. After I logged the numbe...

The overachieving nation innovators/inventors/scientists/Actors/musicians/sports people etc

Wales is a small nation that has punched above its weight in just about everything.  However, there are many people in wales (especially among the 50 + age group) who will happily tell you that the Welsh people are somehow uniquely a bit thick and not capable of running a country.  This attitude is a result of being told this for many decades. Before the widespread use of the internet, the BBC and English newspapers had a monopoly on the opinions of the Welsh people. They convinced many in Wales that Wales is just a 'principality' it 'isn't a real country' it has 'achieved nothing', Wales 'needs England' to survive, the welsh people 'are not capable of looking after their own interests' and lots more.  This is complete nonsense, Wales has always punched above its weight and its time the people started to acknowledge this. Welsh people have always been smart enough to run a small country. Wales has made a huge contribution to the world conside...
